Don't even think about trying to short cut medicare's rules and regulations, you will be caught!

As a health care professional, I find it interesting that some business owners still try to cut corners in OIG Compliance with Medicare.  I receive calls each day from new or existing outpatient Medicare Certified businesses that still question basic regulations that Medicare has denoted as mandatory for continued certification.

The most recent change in Medicare requirements of IDTFs for example, Independent Diagnostic Testing Facilities now must have an office space.  No longer are they allowed to work out of the home office, mobile office type sets ups, Post Office Box locations, or even motels and hotels.  The business owner must have an address that is zoned for business and whether or not you have patients coming to your business determines the necessary hand washing, ADA accessibility, privacy accommodations regulations in being applied to you or not!

If you own, or plan to own a Medicare approved outpatient business in the near future, do yourself the best buck for your money and hire a professional that has experience with these regulations.  They do change often and must be seen as important enough to apply the rulings to your business knowing what you do and do not need to comply too can be the difference in a lot of funds either to your benefit or to your demise.

My firm, The Compliance Doctor, has the experience to supply you and your friends the experience necessary to acquire a safe, compliant, and fiscal responsible business, call 323-603-8333 for your free consultation.
